I recently attended a shadowing with a OT. They gave me a tour of the whole building and the different machines they use with the patients. One machine they used was a hand rowing machine and the patient would just have to sit and move there hands in a cycling motion. On another table they had a bunch of foam rollers just to roll out those muscles in the patents before or after there workout.

Why Occupational Therapy?
Bridging education and medicine. Occupational Therapy is filled with educating people and using medicine. I get to inform people on how to move there body's to improve their injuries. I follow them a round the gym to make sure they are doing the certain exercises that I tell them to do to make their injuries better. They can use certain mechanisms in the gym to work different parts of their body's. "Occupational therapy allows people across the lifespan to do the activities they want and need to do. An occupational therapist will evaluate your situation and, with input from you (and perhaps your family, care provider, or friend), develop individualized goals that allow you to resume or pursue your valued occupations.
